To our guests, Unfortunately, we have had to draw up booking conditions, although that goes against our nature and hospitality. We have only experienced through damage and shame that very occasionally there are people who abuse or try to abuse our hospitality and we would like to prevent that. Hence our decision to include the booking conditions below. Do you have any questions or comments about this? Maybe even an addition, then we would like to hear from you.

LEGITIMATION FOR OUR NIGHT REGISTER

You are obliged to complete the night register form of the municipality of Edam-Volendam upon arrival. We handle your data with the utmost care and discretion.

LIABILITY

In no event shall Country & Lake bear any responsibility for the renter in the event of personal injury, loss of or damage to their property, however caused. Country & Lake also does not bear any responsibility in the event of theft of property and/or money. We assume that you take out travel/accident insurance for this yourself.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

  1. You can make a reservation via our website, but it is possible that you have made a reservation by telephone, in writing or by email. These booking methods are also binding and legally valid for you and Country & Lake , once the deposit has been received.
  2. In the event of an option, the Kaakberg will be kept free for 5 days for the relevant tenant. On expiry of the option days, without notice to the contrary, Country & Lake is entitled to make the Kaakberg freely available again.

CHANGE BOOKING

Changing a period once reserved is only possible if Country & Lake confirms the possibility of changing in writing and/or by email. If the change is not possible because we are already occupied, the change is subject to the cancellation policy.

PAYMENT CONDITIONS

After the landlord has agreed with the booking, you transfer the deposit (50% of the total sum) immediately. You will always receive a booking confirmation and an invoice from us with the (specified) total amount. The booking is confirmed as soon as the deposit is received. We receive the second half 6 weeks before arrival. If the second half is not received, your booking will be canceled and you will lose the deposit. After consultation, you may have to pay something extra (for example, an extra person at the last minute). Then do that immediately upon arrival in cash. You will receive a receipt from us for this.

RESPONSIBILITY

The person who makes the payment of the reservation confirmation/invoice is and remains responsible for his or her fellow travelers and must be assured that they are aware of the booking conditions, the house rules and the obligations arising therefrom. In case the booking conditions are not complied with, the owner has the right to refuse the tenant access to the Kaakberg. The following points in particular are important here:

  1. The number of persons may never exceed that stated on the booking confirmation.
  2. Smoking is not allowed inside the Kaakberg. We have ashtrays for you outside. Fine for the violation of smoking in the house is €250
  3. Pets are only allowed, subject to the House Rules (see link at the bottom of the Homepage) and if you have indicated this when booking.
  4. On departure, you must leave the accommodation tidy and tidy. See the House Rules, link at the bottom of the Home page.
  5. On the day of arrival you can move into the Kaakberg from 15:00 to 22:30. If you want to arrive earlier or later, you can indicate this with your reservation or by contacting us and we can see what options are available.
  6. On the day of departure, you must vacate the Kaakberg by 11 a.m. unless otherwise agreed.

DAMAGE/DAMAGE OR MISSING INVENTORY OR THEFT

During your stay at the Kaakberg, you as a tenant are fully liable for the rented accommodation, the furnishings and all items that belong to the rented accommodation. All destruction or damage must be reported immediately to the owners). We assume that you may have taken out liability/travel insurance for this. In the event of intentional destruction or theft, we will always contact the police and report the incident. In the event of damage/destruction of movable and immovable property, we are obliged to charge the costs for repair/replacement. If inventory is missing after checking out, we are forced to charge the costs for replenishing/replacing the inventory. If you lose your keys to our Kaakberg during your stay or if they are not handed in on departure, we are unfortunately forced to charge costs associated with replacing the locks. Since replacing locks is not cheap, you have to take high costs into account. If we do not pay or cooperate in reaching a solution, we will always engage a 3rd party and the costs associated with this will be recovered from you.

DAMAGE / DESTRUCTION OR LACK OF INVENTORY OR THEFT

During your stay in the Kaakberg you, as a tenant, are fully responsible for the belongings of the rented accommodation, the furnishings and all matters belonging to the rented accommodation.. Any destruction or damage must be reported immediately to the owners). We assume that you may have taken out liability / travel insurance for this. In the event of deliberate destruction or theft, we always call the police and we will report the incident. In case of damage / destruction of movable and immovable property, we are obliged to charge the costs for repair / replacement. If inventory is missing after check-out, we are forced to charge the costs for replenishing / replacing inventory. If you lose your keys to our Kaakberg during your stay or if they are not returned on departure, we are unfortunately forced to charge costs.
